Start Point for Bikes Unlimited Charity Ride
Belmont Park Racecourse (in Burswood)
Arrive at the Belmont Park Racecourse carpark around 10 am and no later than 10:30 am on the day. Look for the
Ulysses Club martials.
Note: Belmont Park Racecourse is in the suburb of
Burswood, not Belmont or Ascot. Entry to the carpark is just off the Graham Farmer Freeway. Take the exit signed as "Belmont Park Racecourse".
If you are going East on the Farmer Freeway this is the exit after East Parade. If you entered the Farmer Freeway
from Great Eastern Highway or from Orrong Road, the exit is the first after Great Eastern Highway.
It is also possible to get to the Racecourse from the Burswood Casino/Dome complex: follow Victoria Park
Drive round the South and East side of the Burswood Dome and then north, past the Tennis Centre till you
cross the Farmer Freeway.

- To join the Ulysses group in this ride, arrive at Belmont Racecourse (Burswood) around 9:30 am,
and no later than 10:30 am. Look for the Ulysses marshals. There will probably be a Ulysses banner there. To ride with Ulysses
you must be in Ulysses' designated starting area by 10:30 am. We have been told that
latecomers will be sent to the open area which is for non-club riders who ride at the back of the pack.
- Please ride within our club group - do not pass the Ulysess marshal at the front of our pack or fall behind the
Ulysses marshal at the back of our pack.
- The ride will leave the carpark of Belmont Racecource (Burswood), at 11 am sharp. It will
travel West on the Graham Farmer Freeway, and then North on the
Mitchell Freeway, ending at the ARENA Joondalup for the donations to be
handed over to the Salvation Army.
- The parking and festivities are usually on the grass hockey ground, behind the arena.
It is likely we will be parking on grass - be prepared if your bike stand
is not good on soft surfaces. Also, the entrance is narrow and it will not be
possible to ride out until everyone has finished riding in - you may need to be patient and wait a while after
ariving before you can leave.
- Please cooperate with the ride marshals and the police assisting the ride.
- Note: Ride protocols differ from Ulysses - don't mark corners, police and ride marshals
will be directing traffic instead.
