Rob Morgan's Ride - 10th July
Here are the details from Rob:
10th July, 9:30 am from Kingsway Carpark.
Short ride to Gingin / Bindoon depending on weather, and back to Duncraig
for lunch : Sausage / onion & roll, coffee/ tea etc provided by Rob and Ina
Morgan. Please BYO grog if you wish to drink a bit.
If it rains, we will all decide at the start whether to spend the day under
cover at home.
The ride was planned to take us through a few back streets behind Wanneroo
and north, but it has now become difficult to escape the suburbs and find a
way out. So, out via Wanneroo Rd, Pinjar Rd, Flynn Dve, Wanneroo Rd, Gibb
Rd, Carabooda Rd to Old Yanchep Rd and then clear riding on Lancelin Rd. A
bit further on is the new extension to Military Rd and then on to just
before Gingin for a fuel stop; careful 123.9c/l when I filled. Last I knew
there was nowhere open in Gingin on a Sunday...may be time to check. At the
stop it is decision time to proceed to Bindoon Bakery, or to head for home
and fill up with the offerings.
We have a lot of undercover parking at home, probably fit about 20 bikes
before being a bit crowded out in the patio area.
We have a heap of music to keep you happy. Outdoor computer used as jukebox
with approx 500 tunes from the 1950s to 1990s; much you may not have heard
for many years.
