He is looking for volunteers to assist in rides, registration, cleanups etc.

He is circulating a roster sheet for people to consider.

A supply of raffle tickets has been sent to Peter and members were urged to take and sell tickets ASAP.  Please when selling remind buyers that all proceeds go to the Holland Street Special School .

Accommodation is still available at the Camp School if you want to be close to the action.

Bev Thorpe volunteered to be team leader show bag compilation.  Bev will be looking for help in stuffing items into bags in the week leading up to the Odyssey.

There are approximately 90 registrations to date.

As I understand it our very own thespian Graham Stewart volunteered, or, was volunteered, to co-ordinate Geraldton’s effort in getting a skit up. I am sure  Graham would welcome any ideas.

GENERAL BUSINESS

  • There was some discussion about the fact that on a ride we should leave as a group and stay as a group for the duration of the ride.

Consensus is that riders are all different in skill level, they want different things out of a day on the road and that the size of the riding group influences greatly the formation of the ride.

Ulysses Club policy is that ” the club does not endorse any ride procedure, rather a meeting place for rides to leave from, and individuals choice as to where and how they ride, subject to road and traffic conditions and regulations” (Page 25 Hand book for members).

  • Gary Cripps wished himself and the other team members luck in the Gun Club Corporate Cup on Saturday 2 August.  So did the rest of us.

NEXT MEETING:

Next meeting will be at Freemasons Hotel at 1930 on 30 July chaired by Anne Tarr.  Meet there for dinner beforehand if you wish.
